Education in Samsun

The biggest university in the region is Ondukuz Mayıs University which is stated in Samsun. With 50.089 students there are 17 faculty and 2.294 academic staff. In this university 2.642 foreign student get training who come from all over the World. Therefore the university became a global training centre.

According to education infrastructure, Samsun developed not only at the university level but also developed in primary, secondary and high school level. Besides public school, private school also invested for education. Bahcesehir, Ugur, Mektebim, Ted and Doga schools invested for education in Samsun. Besides contribution of this national investment there are also many local investments.

Scientific and Technologic Research Council of Turkey (tubitak) designed one of its projects in Samsun. Furthermore the university in Samsun has aviation and space technology research and application centre which give pilot training  also in this institution include an airport.
